Yuliia is a Ukrainian medic who founded the volunteer ambulance corps "Taira's Angels" at the beginning of the Russo-Ukrainian War in 2015. After spending three months in Russian captivity, she has been advocating for the effective collection of evidence to hold Russia accountable for war crimes and increasing efforts to release all defenders and civilians who have become hostages of Russia and who are illegally held by the country-aggressor, which violates all international norms. The video she smuggled out of the occupied Mariupol helped show the world the horror of the situation in the besieged city. She also represents Ukraine as a participant in the Invictus Games.

Yuliia saves the lives of soldiers and civilians as a military medic and tactical medicine instructor since the beginning of the Russian invasion of Ukraine in 2014.
